Meadowhead Junior School Embraces Growth Following Positive Ofsted Inspection

Meadowhead Junior School continues its journey of improvement following its recent Ofsted inspection (14-15 January 2025). The report praises the school’s nurturing environment, strong sense of community, and commitment to ensuring every pupil receives a high-quality education.

Inspectors highlighted the school’s high expectations for all pupils, including those with SEND, and commended the recent improvements to the curriculum, ensuring it is ambitious and engaging. The school’s dedication to reading, personal development, and behaviour was recognised, with staff creating a calm and purposeful learning environment. The report also acknowledges the strength of leadership and governance, which have driven key changes in curriculum design and pupil support.

Executive Headteacher Christopher Dugdale said:

"This report reflects the significant progress we have made as a school. We have worked tirelessly to enhance our curriculum, ensure every child reaches their potential, and foster an environment where pupils feel safe, valued, and eager to learn.
